Warranty conditions

Warranties and service

In these warranty and service conditions, “client” means the end user of an IVY/Sanibell product or the IVY dealer making a service or repair request to Sanibell. By product we mean the IVY products sold in the Netherlands and Belgium. IVY® is part of the product range of Sanibell BV – The Netherlands and is a registered trademark. All Sanibell products are made with materials of the highest quality and manufactured to meet Dutch and European standards. With proper installation and use, the products will provide many years of trouble-free service. IVY’s products are guaranteed for 5 years (60 months) with the exception of products containing electronic components. These products are guaranteed for 2 years (24 months). The IVY manufacturer’s warranty commences on the date of purchase. The point of sale where the end user purchased the IVY product is the first point of contact for a warranty/service report, in other cases this is IVY (Sanibell BV) itself. Sanibell provides warranty in accordance with the warranty conditions which can be consulted below. The warranty covers all products, provided they are used as intended and installed in accordance with our assembly instructions and local ordinances and laws. The warranty covers manufacturing or material defects and a free replacement part or the closest equivalent will be provided within the warranty period. If a claim is made under warranty and it is upheld, liability will be limited to the products delivered and does not cover damage during installation or consequential damage. If the delivered product does not comply with the agreement, the end user must notify the seller of the IVY product as soon as possible after discovery, at the latest within two working days. If there is damage to the delivered product, Sanibell recommends that the end user take photos of the outer and inner packaging as well as the product. In doing so, the end user can carefully remove the product from the packaging and inspect it. Sanibell recommends that the end user keep the packaging in good condition in case it is suspected that the damage occurred during shipping of the product. We then recommend not assembling the product because assembled = accepted! The sales dealer of the IVY product will make a report to Sanibell’s service department with the correct order information. Normal wear and tear, scale and chemicals used during cleaning can cause damage and deterioration and this is not covered by the warranty. Products should always be used as intended and should not be misused. We accept no claims for replacement if the products have been applied or altered in any way other than as provided in the assembly instructions. All installed replacement parts must always be the original parts specified by Sanibell/IVY. These parts are available through our dealer network, via ww.sanibell.nl or by contacting the Sanibell Service Department; +31 186 745 030. Assembled parts from other sources will void the warranty.

Claim to warranty

To assert a warranty claim, the original invoice or proof of purchase, with the date of purchase, of the product in question must be able to be presented to Sanibell BV. A repair or delivery of a part within the warranty period does not renew or extend the warranty period. Consumers always have the right to free repair or replacement if a product is faulty. This is because the legal warranty means that you are always entitled to a good product. Sanibell will review the service request/warranty claim and conduct detailed investigation to determine the cause of the damage or failure. We will also assess whether the product was installed according to the installation instructions and used according to the instructions for use. Sometimes this leads to giving advice over the phone, sending a specific part or deploying an experience technician. Many minor problems can be solved by yourself without the need for a service technician. Should it be found that the product has not been used as directed, the service technician will perform any repair work at the client’s expense and risk. With the understanding that built-in parts and crane technology are easily accessible. If the installation work is not performed according to the installation instructions, no disassembly, chopping and breaking will be performed. Rosettes that

are sealed off, for example, will never be loosened by the service technician. Also, Sanibell will never modify setups (any replacement faucet will only be placed in the recess already in place). If the service technician rejects the service/repair request for reasons as mentioned above, the call-out fee will be charged. Any on-site payments are always made through a
